How to use MissionSlider

MissionSlider is a timeline of your life. Where a calendar shows what is coming next, this shows what you have done: from November 15 to November 30 you worked on such and such.

Open the timeline

Mark a period

Drag across a row, then type what it was. Press Enter to keep it, or Escape to take it back. Periods can overlap across rows, which suits things that ran side by side, but not within one row.

Add and remove rows

Use the Rows control to add rows, up to twelve, or hover a row and press its × to remove it. Removing a row never deletes anything: its missions are hidden and stay saved. A button shows how many are hidden, and adding a row or finding one of those missions brings them back.

Move through time

Scroll to zoom around your pointer. The dates under the slider move from years to months to days as you go, with dots marking the time in between. To travel, drag the dates, scroll sideways, or hold Space and drag. Now brings you back to the red line, and All fits every mission on screen.

Precision follows your zoom

Dragging snaps to days when you are close enough to aim at a day, and to months or years when you are further out. For an exact date, click a mission and type it.
